The very premise of this research was to develop a groundwater decision support system (GDSS) for the Eocene Aquifer to do two tasks: (1) to optimally determine the pumping rates and (2) to set up zones of quality protection. The GDSS utilizes an optimization technique and indeed groundwater modelling.
